Mike, Quick! Read The Town of the Little People (short story) by Sholom
Aleichem, definitely the Alfred Kazin translation, Kafka in a good mood
and a sense of humor, ok normal sense of humor, alright sort of normal
sense of humor. Then read Mark Helprin's The Schreuderspitze and Ellis
Island (both short stories) and call me in the morning.
Something must be wrong since Salinger can do no wrong.
Daniel
marie! welcome! (the wagon is usually fuller, though most have either
fallen off it or have had their feet bronzed and they are now sleeping
with the angel fish, if you catch my drift!)
after much thought, i'd have to agree that the inverted forest is a
better story than hapworth.
that's because hapworth is not a story.
hapworth is a slip of the pen.
(frankie muniz sez, "you all are, bitchez.")
