I bought the thing a long time ago, back when we had our Matrix
discussion on this list back before the reaper took his toll and I
couldn't finish it, the writing got in the way of the story.  I spent
several years researching all this Holy Blood/ Holy Hooey stuff back in
the lat '80s and early 90's and Brown, 15 years later produces the
readers digest/Sunday comics version of it all.  I sold the book back
when it was not too popular yet, I probably lost $10 bucks on the deal.
But, in truth, I am up on the deal; I only lost 10 minutes of my life on
the first 25 pages before closing it for good.

I found it amusing. But from the first or second page where he's looking
in
the mirror at his "mop of a head of hair" or whatever it says I knew I
was
in for very bad writing.
