[Bananafish] Nine stories

Hi!!
My question may seem simple and unimportant; still, it really matters to me.
Namely, was the order of stories in Nine Stories chosen by Salinger or by
somebody else?I`m reading `In search of J.D. Salinger` by Ian Hamilton but I
cannot find any mention of this fact. Maybe I`m reading too much into
it?What is your opinion-is there something symbolic and mystical in the way
Nine Stories are organized?
