Funny.  I was just thinking about him yesterday. I'm not even sure why --
perhaps the rain reminded me of a wet Sunday in Kinsale.  Only Scottie
could describe me as a quattrocento puttis and make it sound fond.

Do you know that Tim O'Connor, who often went to Ireland to visit family,
asked me once if he could borrow my copy of Scottie's book.  He then
packed it in his suitcase, carried it across the pond, and asked Scottie
to sign it for me.  

I have one or two books that are more rare, but none that are more
precious.  Miss you, Scottie B.
