Hello, internet! I am Alexandra, but please call me Alex. I am fifteen years
old and female, and that is all you really need to know for now.
Why did I join this list? Well, it all started about a month ago, when I
found a copy of *The Catcher in the Rye* that my mother had bought me only
god knows when. I had praise for it(from my mother) and harsh criticism
about it(from my father). I honestly have no idea how two people so
different could be happily married. Anyways, I thought I'd decide for my
self Well, I finished it over the course of three weeks(being a fifteen
years old means that you have to go to school, do homework, and all that, so
I didn't have a lot of free time). Needless to say, I sided with my
mother(Why else would I be here?).It is now one of my favorite books, and I
am hunting down some more of Mr.Salinger's works. It survived the dreaded
book report test, so I'm pretty sure that it will stay a favorite of mine.
For those of you who don't know, the book report test is where you love a
book, and then a teacher makes you butche- I mean write a book report on it.
Not even an essay, but just something to show that yes, you can, in fact,
read.
I, being a discussion junkie, started looking for others who share my new
obsession. As I browsed Wikipedia (quite inaccurate, but a good weapon
against boredom) one day, I found a link to this mailing list. It said to
introduce yourself, so here I am, writing this.
Due to the fact that I still have ten minutes until I have to go back the
the prison(also known as Los Alamos High School. And yes, I do live in the
Atomic City. Not nearly as exciting as it sounds), I shall rabble here for a
bit. I enjoy long walks on the beach, warm fires... oh wait, that's a
personal add. Yes, I know I have a very bad sense of humor. Anyways, writing
is my life's passion. I do it all the time. As much as I would like to make
a career out of it, that's highly improbable, so I'll probably go to
business school and open an independent store of some kind(though it is
highly improbable that it will stay open.)
Well, it is time to go the prison. Tata for now.
